Thursday

I didn't realize how hot it was yesterday till I got out of the pool at the end of the day. Hot again today. Someone in the afternoon left their sunscreen on the deck if you are missing yours. Lucy and Edie, we'll miss you today but our thoughts are with your little sister in the hospital. Hope she gets well soon!

Wednesday

Whoops! Yesterday morning wasn't as nice as I thought it would be. Kind of chilly getting out of the pool! Today, though, is the start of the heat so we will certainly enjoy the water.

Monday, session 4

First, congratulations to Joey who made my Wall of Fame by passing Eels! Now to session 4, we are back to semi-private lessons so a lot of swimmers will be jumping into the water. It will be mostly returning swimmers except Elizabeth and Vivian will join big sisters Anna, Lucia, and Darby. Also Mia will join big brother Eli. Others returning are Eloise, Henry, Lucy, Edie, Jenna, Jason, Nathan, Lydia, Jonathan, Mary, Izzy, Andrew, Mike and Anne. Forecast is for a very warm, sunny week so should be a good one.

Friday

Looks like a beautiful day for the end of session 3. Don't forget the sunscreen.

Thursday

I was surprised to get all but one lesson in yesterday. Forecast had me thinking it would be a washout. That was good. Should be nice weather for our last two days of this session. Keep working hard swimmers!

Wednesday

Glad I don't live in Duluth. They have a lot more water than we had last Thursday. Looks like we will get the morning lessons in - the afternoon is iffy so check back here later.

Tuesday

Woke up early again this morning with heavy rains, wind and thunder. Pool is fine, storms appear to be over for now, high temps predicted so we are good to go for lessons. Again, it is best to park behind Bridgewater and come in through my back gate.

Monday - session 3

Lots of rain last night! Looks like the day should be OK. We have mostly returning swimmers this week - welcome back Clayton, Rhett, Kylie, Ella, Jackson, Joey, Clara, Rodin, Teagan, and Stone. Plus one new swimmer, Kasie - glad to have you. (Quick note - they will be working on my street starting today. I'm not sure how passable it will be so I suggest you park behind Bridgewater school and come in my back gate)

Friday

Wow! What a day of rain! My rain gauge had almost 6 inches so I won't need to add water to the pool for awhile. The water is a little cooler than I like for lessons. Despite having the heater on all night, it's only 86. We finish up session 2 today. From 10:30 on, you only pay for 4 days of lessons.

Update 3

I will attempt to have the afternoon lessons. If the storms return, the rest of the day will be cancelled

Update 2

11:30 session now cancelled also

Thursday update

Because of the severe weather moving in, I've cancelled the 10:30 and 11:00 sessions. Check again in an hour for the rest of the day

Thursday

Hold onto your hats - literally! Quite windy out here this morning, but looks like the storms will hold off for awhile. Should be warmer getting out of the pool too.

Wednesday afternoon

We had a little rain this morning but were able to continue. Very chilly getting out though.

Wednesday

The latest weather forecast says we could be swimming in the rain later day. It's not expected to be thundery so hopefully we get through the day. Tomorrow could be another story. Be sure you check this blog if you aren't sure. If we have to get out, I will repost as soon as my hands are dry.

Tuesday

Had a nice start to lessons yesterday. A little cool out this morning but the water is 88 so shouldn't have a problem getting the kids in the water. Problem is they won't want to get out!

Session 2 - Monday

Today is the beginning of session 2. It will be a mixture of new and old. We have returner Eli and for the first time, little sister Ella joins him. Then veterans Sam, Edie, Spencer, Jenna, and Jason. Newcomers Rodin and Clara start the afternoon and we finish with veterans Morgyn and Coltyn. We had three new swimmers become members of the Wall of Fame by passing the Eels level. Congratulations to Kaed, Jacob, and Isaac!

Friday

We made it to the end of a wonderful week for session 1. I am very proud of the progress all the swimmers have made. They have worked very hard. Possible thunder storms for the afternoon- hopefully not till after 3:00!

Thursday, June 7, 2012

Thursday

Forecast says we may be dodging a few thunderstorms today. If there is thunder and lightening, we'll have to get out. We'll just swim through rain. If we get a storm, it is supposed to be short so we would go lesson by lesson for any cancellations. Keep your fingers crossed. Everyone is working very hard so I want to get all of you in.
