Today is the last day of lessons for the summer - and what a beautiful day it will be. Congratulations to Anne who passed Eels yesterday and was entered on the Wall of Fame!  Look for the next post sometime the end of February for the 2014 schedule.

Wow, only in the 50's to start this morning. And possible showers around noon. Hope we get everything in. To Grady - so sorry you are not able to finish this week. You have made so much improvement. Get better soon and keep swimming.

Another bout of needed rain over night. Shouldn't interfere with lessons this morning. It'll be a cool start though. Treading water test today for those levels requiring it.

Cloudy day yesterday but the sun is out this morning. Should be a good day in the pool.

Monday

We begin session 8 today - not as many swimmers as we begin winding down. We got about 1/2 inch of rain over night, which we needed, but looks like it is clearing out in time for lessons. We have mostly returning swimmers this week - Henry, Eloise, Grady, Lucy, Edie and first timer, little sister, Milli. Also new this week is Nadia.

Looks like it will be a cloudy day for lessons. It's sprinkling now but nothing severe predicted so we should be OK.

Monday

We start session 7 today. Instead of dealing with extreme hot temperatures, this week will be cool. The water is warm but will be quite cool getting out. At least today, we will have the sun. Returning swimmers this week are Grace, Stone, Grady, Elizabeth, Greta, Gavin, and Jenna. We have 2 new swimmers this week, Brayden and Owen. Congratulations to Eli who last week passed Eels and is now on The Wall of Fame!

Should be a pretty nice day for lessons. They are talking about storms this afternoon. Lets hope it is after 3:00. Front crawl testing today for those levels requiring it.

Wednesday

Another cool day coming up. It will be treading water test day. Best wishes to Rhett who had to drop out of lessons this week. He broke his arm yesterday. Get better quick, Rhett!

Cool day coming up. Heard on the news this will be the first day in July we won't get into the 80's. water is warm though.

Monday

We made it to the end of a very hot week - and the storms predicted for this morning have already passed. Yippee! I just got a cancellation last night for session 6 beginning Monday July 22. These are private lessons - 10:00 and 10:30. If you know someone still looking, please pass this on.

Today is the start of session 5. Forecast is for a very hot week. That's good because we have 22 swimmers scheduled. Returning are Eli and little sister Ella giving it a try, Sebastian and Boden, Luke, Elizabeth, Vivian, Anna, Darby, Lucia, Olivia, Sophia, Gretta, Sam, Logan, Josh, and Lauren. Coming for the first time are Jake, Addie, Nolan, John and Joe. Three swimmers made the wall of fame last week successfully completing Eels. Congratulations to Henry, Jenna and Jason.

Hard to believe we got all the lessons in yesterday. Henry and Eloise swam in the rain but the rest of the day was beautiful. Today is treading test day.

Looks like the severe weather is past us for a little while at least. The pool might not be as clean as usual but we will try and start on time.

Monday

Today we begin session 4. This is a semi-private session so we will have lots of swimmers in and out of the pool. Returning swimmers are Henry, Eloise, Rodin, Clara, Gabe, Ben, Kylie, Lauren, Jenna, Jason, AJ and for the first time his sister Ashley, Andrew, Eli and Jack.. New to lessons are Ethan and Olivia. Coming for advanced work is Eels graduate Izzy. Hot and humid is the forecast for today. Tomorrow could be thunderstorms.

Today starts the beginning of session 3. We have mostly returning swimmers - Logan, Josh, Lauren, Coltyn, Lucy, Edie, Brady, and Haden. Coming for their first time are Mia and Caden. Weather looks good for today - could have some problems tomorrow. If we get through that, we should have smooth sailing the rest of the week. Sunscreen!

Setting up to be a pretty nice day - mix of clouds and sun. Forecast for end of week is scattered thunderstorms. Let's hope they are scattered enough for us to get all the lessons in!

Session 2 begins today. Swimming this week will be Eli, Grace coming for the first time, then brothers Sebastian and Boden and finishing up the morning will be brother and sister Jackson and Ella. The afternoon will start with advanced swimmer Joey, then Gabe along with brother Ben for the first time and finishing with advanced swimmer Nathan. I added 4 swimmers to my Wall of Fame last week. Congratulations to Kyan, Nathan, Lydia and Izzy. Sunscreen for sure this morning.

Oh how I hate these days. Looks like it's going to be a day where we will have to go hour by hour, hoping for the best. I'm going out to open up and get the pool ready. Unless we have thunder and lightning, we'll go ahead. Keep checking. I'll repost as soon as there is a change.

Back in the water today to continue session 1. The news says weather could be iffy around noon so be prepared. I have only 4 openings left for this summer. They are session 7, week of July 29 - 9:00 & 9:30. Session 8, week of August 5 - 10:00, session 9 - week of August 12 - 9:30.

Session 1

Session one begins today. Because of a funeral I need to go to on Monday, we are having the first day of lessons today and skipping Monday. This is a semi-private session so we have lots of kids. Kaed is coming for advanced work. We also have his brother Kyan. Then Henry and Eloise, followed by Teagan and little sister Brooklyn taking lessons for the first time. We continue with Josh and Logan then Rachel, Samantha and Ben. After lunch it's Nathan, Lydia, Jonathan, and Mary. Then Izzy and Andrew, finally Greta and Gavin. Thank you so much for making this change for me. It is cool but the water is warm. Have sweats to put on when you get out.

Sessions 1, 2 and 3 are completely full. Session 4 semi private, I have a 9:30 opening. Session 5 is full. Session 6 is private and I have 3 slots open - 9:00, 1:30 and 2:30. Session 7 is private and I have 3 slots open - 9:00, 9:30 and 11:30. Session 8 for a private lesson, I have 10:00 open. Session 9 is my last session of the summer, it is for private lessons. I have all the morning slots beginning with 9:30 open.
