Saturday

2020 swimming lessons are in the book. I want to thank everyone for helping out to make them possible with covid hanging over us.  This last week again was the session I lost the most lessons because of storms. Congratulations to Toby for passing Eels this last week - now on the Wall of Fame. Look for the 2021 schedule here the end of February. Everyone will be notified by email when it is ready.

Monday

What a storm last night!  But everything has settled down so we begin session 9 today. This is my last week of swimming lessons. I have some work to do on the deck before it’s time to close everything up. Swimmers this week are - Liam, Anton, Ivar, Toby, Max, Owen, Bennett, Savio, Tazio, and Zenio. Remember Covid rules - any swimmer 5 and under needs someone from their household in the water with them, use the gate closest to the garage, wait in the yard till the previous swimmer has left the deck,  spray the latches with disinfectant when you leave. If your swimmer is ill, please let me know by 8:00 AM for morning classes and 12:45 for afternoon classes

Mon

Session 8 begins under a cloudy cool sky. Swimmers are Andrew, Noah, Taylor, Lotem, Grace and her brother Dakota for the first time and Emma and her sister Ava for the first time. New to my program this week are Chase and Toby. Don’t forget a towel and maybe a sweat shirt when you get out. The water is warm but air is cold.
Remember covid rules - wait in the yard till previous swimmer leaves and that swimmer should hustle getting off the deck. Spray latches with sanitizer bottles when leaving. Swimmers 5 and under need a member from their household in the water with them.

Reminder - use the gate on the garage side, wait to come on the deck till the previous swimmer leaves, spray the latches when you leave and 5 years old and younger must have a household member in the water.  If a swimmer is sick or running a fever please keep them home and let me know by 8:00 AM for morning class and 12:45 for an afternoon class 5072715532

Monday

Session 5 begins today. Swimmers this week are Liam, Preston, Vera, Margaux, Lily, Gray and sister Madlyn for the first time. Also new this week are Elijah, Nora and London. Congratulations to Claire who passed Eels last week and is now in the Wall of Fame.
Parents are reminded for swimmers 5 and under someone needs to be in the water with them. For older swimmers I just ask that they not have a fever or cough.
Be aware the forecast for tomorrow is not that great. We swim in the rain but not in thunder or heavy rain.

Thursday

Rumbling again. I took a few days off and almost every one of them forecast was for chance of thunderstorms. None happened. Here we are ready to start lessons again and it’s rumbling. Fingers crossed we can sneak the lessons in

Monday 3

Still rumbling so no 1:00 class. It’s almost to the end so hoping for 1:30 on. Stay tuned

Monday 2

Still rumbling. No 11:30 class. Hope it stops soon for the afternoon

Monday

Very noisy start for session 4. I’ve canceled 9:00-11:30 classes. Still have hopes for 11:30 on. We’ll have to build an ark if we get much more rain. The pool is overflowing and creating a small pool under the deck.
Swimmers this week are Haakon, Xavier, Linden, Cooper, Grady, Claire,  Zenio, Andrew, Noah And new swimmer Lotem.
Congratulations to Ben M. Who passed Eels last week and is now on the Wall of Flame.

Changes because of covid

Due to regulations from Minnesota Department of Health released May 28th, lessons will look quite a bit different than in years past.

No semi private lessons will be held this summer. All semi private students currently enrolled will be offered the opportunity to reschedule a private lesson as available or you may cancel lessons. (See check box below)

All private lessons will continue as scheduled with modifications.

All swimmers below Eels and Advanced ( Watertots, Angelfish, Bluegills, Crayfish and Dolphins) must be accompanied in the water by a parent or household member for hands on help.

Rules for swimming lessons this summer

All swimmers except Eels or Advanced must have a parent or household member accompany them in the water to provide hands on help.

No unsupervised siblings allowed on the pool deck while parent is in the pool.

Only use entrance on North side of house ((nearest driveway).

Wait in your car until previous student leaves.

Spray down gate latches when you leave.

Hand sanitize before you enter the pool.

Must have own goggles - no goggles will be provided.

Anyone on the deck above the age of 2 must wear a face covering, but not in the pool.

Must come to lessons fully dressed for pool use. Bathroom use for emergencies only.

I need all of you to let me know your wishes for lessons using this link below. Please let me know ASAP as lessons begin June
