Today ends swimming lessons for 2015.  Congratulations to Michael and Liam for passing Eels and joining 93 other swimmers on the Wall of Fame.  Look for my schedule for 2016 around the end of February.  God willing, my good health will continue and I'll be able to do this again.  I really enjoy working with all the young kids and see them become comfortable in the water.  Living in Minnesota it certainly is a necessity.  

Wednesday

Not so much fun again today. We have light rain right now but forecast says nothing heavy. Pretty chilly out but the water is 30 degrees warmer than the air. So bring something warm to put on the kiddos when they get out. Treading test for those levels requiring it. Better bring umbrellas for on the deck.

the sky is getting darker and radar shows heavier stuff moving in so no lessons at 11:00 or 11:30. Sorry

Tuesday

today is not going to turn out very well. I believe I will be able to get lessons started but it will probably be raining. If the thunder rolls in, I will have to cancel. Check back here before you leave - I will post changes as soon as I can get in and get to my iPad. At any rate, it is pretty chilly out there. Have something warm to slip on your kiddos when they get out. You probably want an umbrella also.

Session 9

Today marks the last session for the year. And it looks like it will be a cool week - at least for the start of it. Hope my heater keeps working! Swimmers this week are Michael, Cully, Liam and Marie. New to my school are Max and Ben. Welcome.

Session 8 begins today. Forecast is pointing to a beautiful week to be in the water. Swimmers this week are Isaac, Noah, and joining her brothers for the first time - Hannah. Plus we have Sam and Wyatt.  First time swimmers in my school are Caleb, Andrew and Kerste.
Congratulations to Molly who passed Eels last week and joins her brother and sister on the Wall of Fame.

Cloudy again for the end of the week. Forecast says rain is done though. Hope they are right.

Thursday

Doesn't look like we will see much sun today. In fact radar shows we could have storms coming in this morning. If that happens, I'll get back on here as soon as possible with information about cancellations.

Monday

We're moving right along - today is the start of session 7. Swimmers this week are Molly, Edie, Lucy, Millie, Ben, Gavin, Greta, Owen E. and little brother Max for his first lesson. Also one other newcomer, Owen S.
Congratulations to Brady who passed Eels last week and joins his 2 older brothers on the Wall of Fame.

Wednesday

Sun is out today. Temp a little cooler but water is warm. Treading test today for those levels requiring it.

Tuesday

Looks like the storm has passed. It's still raining but we should be able to have lessons as scheduled. If things change, I'll get back on here right away.

Session 6

Hot start for session 6 - second Monday in a row without rain. Tomorrow morning could be iffy so be sure and check this blog. As usual, if it's just rain, we will swim.
Congratulations to the following for passing Eels last week and making it onto the Wall of Fame - Jacob, Eloise, Ethan, Jonathan, and Mary.
This starts 4 weeks of private lessons. Swimmers this week are Brayden, Cully, Boden, Haakon, Coltyn and for the first time little sister Logyn, Elizabeth D., Caden, Brady, and Elizabeth T.

Friday

About an inch of rain over night but it is beginning to clear for a nice end of this session.

Looks like we will be having a few more clouds today but still not a bad day for a swim! Treading test for those levels requiring it.

Session 5

First of all, congratulations to Darby, Samantha, Rachel, Greta and Gavin for passing Eels last week and making it to the Wall of Fame. This week is another semi-private week so we have 19 swimmers hitting the water. And for the first time this summer, we have a Monday with no rain either before or during lessons. Although we might have clouds. Swimmers this week are Jacob, Nolan, Addie, Liam, Eloise, Mia, Ethan, Olivia, John, Noah, Jonathan, and Mary. New to lessons this week are Sophie, Owen, Osten, Noah, Matt, Kate and Emily. Welcome!

Thursday

We've had a few sprinkles so far but if the radar is true we should be on the northern edge of anything heavy. If it is just rain we get, we will swim. Chairs may be wet so bring an extra towel.  If weather changes, I will post again as soon as I can get out of the water.

Session 4

It's a Monday and we have a few sprinkles. 4th session in a row we start that way. Congratulations to Jackson and Josh who passed Eels last week and are now on the Wall of Fame. This week we start the first of  a 2 week stint of semi private lessons. We have 21 swimmers this week. They are Darby, Lizzy, Vivian, AJ, Ashley, Grady, Claire, Samantha, Ben I., Rachel, Ben H., Greta, and Gavin.  New to my swim school this year are Isaac, Noah, Ben B., Mae, Hunter, Lily, Hannah and Sidney.  Welcome!

Friday

We started the week with storms and cool weather. The sun and the heat have returned to end the week with beautiful weather for the pool. Sun screen!

A little warmer today thank goodness. Treading test for those levels requiring it.

Monday afternoon

Looks like we will have rain for awhile again. Everything is wet on the deck so bring something to sit on.

Another Monday probably will be starting in the rain. Looks like the bad stuff is done though. Almost 3 1/2 inches means the water level is at max. Congratulations to Ella who passed Eels and joins the Wall of Fame. She returns this week for advanced lessons. Other swimmers this week are Jackson, Ben, Emma, Logan, Eli, Mia, Grace, and her little brother Ben beginning his first lesson.

Monday

It's finally here - the beginning of session 1. I was a little afraid yesterday that storms would delay things but we should be ok. May not be all sun but we can certainly swim. Swimmers this week include Ella, Jackson, Ben, Etta, Eloise, Clara, Eli, Lindsey, and new to lessons this year Jacob and Nicholas. As I explained, my brother died Friday and the funeral is Thursday so I will not have classes Thursday or Friday. We will make these up on Monday and Tuesday June 29 and 30.

Just two more weeks before lessons start. At this time, I have 2 slots open - both are semi private which I would need 2 swimmers for each. They are for the week of July 20 at 1:30 and 2:00.

I am close to filling up for private lessons. Session 6 is now full also. Session 7 I only have 9:00 or 1:00 left. Session 8 I have 9:00,9:30,10:00,11:00 or 11:30. Session 9 just 9:00 or 9:30. For semi-private session 2 is full, session 4 I have 9:30,10:00,11:30, or 2:00. Session 5 I have 10:30,11:30,1:30,2:00 or 2:30.
